The Railsplitters are a high calibre modern acoustic five piece playing a unique blend of Americana, bluegrass and folk. Performing mostly original material, the band initially found recognition as winners of the prestigious band competition at Rockygrass, a major festival in their native Colorado. Since then their star has risen rapidly and they have toured extensively across the world, including well received UK tours in 2016 and 2015 – check out these glowing reviews of previous shows at The Live Room Saltaire and the South Holland Centre, Spalding.
The Railsplitters have released two acclaimed albums to date, with their third due to be released in autumn 2017. The band’s music is a quirky, creative and modern version of bluegrass and acoustic roots, underpinned by outstanding musicianship and songwriting and with particularly beautiful harmony singing. In live settings they are stunningly impressive musically as well as engaging and entertaining performers, with a great band chemistry.
“The Colorado-based Railsplitters…impressed with superb vocal harmonies and instrumental dynamics that take bluegrass instrumentation into sophisticated pop songwriting as well as traditional folk and rock ‘n’ roll material.” – Rob Adams, Sunday Herald (Glasgow)
The Railsplitters will be touring the UK from late January to mid February 2018. There are only a couple of available dates remaining and a full tour itinerary will be published soon. To enquire about bookings please contact us.
